YOU’RE INVITED! That’s right! You’re invited to discover your true potential as a communicator and a leader. How? By joining a group where you’ll learn these skills by being part of a team. A team you ask? Yes, a team known as the Brainwave Speakers Toastmasters Club. Visit us and discover how you can open a whole new world of possibilities in the area of communication and leadership.
At Brainwave Speakers Toastmasters Club, there are opportunities galore for anyone over the age of 18, to develop and/or further develop public speaking, leadership and interpersonal communication skills. It’s also an opportunity to get out once a week for an evening of stimulating impromptu and prepared speeches.
As a member of the Brainwave Speakers Toastmasters Club, you’ll improve your one-on-one interactions with others, learn how to communicate effectively, learn how to successfully formulate and express your ideas, learn how to be more persuasive and confident, and work at your own pace … THAT’S RIGHT, THERE’S NO PRESSURE, ONLY ENCOURAGEMENT!!!
Brainwave Speakers Toastmasters Club is dedicated to making effective oral communication a reality for everyone. The club helps its members learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking – vital skills that promote personal growth. It also empowers people to achieve their full potential and to realize their goals. By learning to effectively formulate and express your ideas, you open an entirely new world of possibilities.
Brainwave Speakers is a member club of Toastmasters International and uses its time-tested educational programs that are continually updated to meet members’ needs. The educational program can be tailored to meet personal objectives.
Each new member receives a variety of manuals and resources on public speaking when they join.
Members also have access to other books as well as audio and video materials on speaking and leading. They also receive the award-winning The Toastmaster, a monthly magazine that offers the latest insights on speaking, leadership and personal development.
All learning is hands on – you are given information on “how-to” address each aspect of public speaking and then gain practical experience by giving speeches, which is critical to your progress. The environment is friendly and supportive, and the self-paced program allows you to build confidence with each speaking assignment.
And you’ll love the applause! Constructive evaluation is the heart of the education program. Each time you give a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out strengths and suggest improvements. At first you’ll be applauded for your effort; later you’ll be applauded for your skill.
Brainwave Speakers Toastmasters Club offers a casual, relaxed style that allows for individual creativity. You set your own goals and you work towards these goals on your own schedule. We meet weekly on Wednesday nights between 6 PM and 8PM and encourage everyone to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure we get a chance to meet you before the meeting starts. Please note that there is no admittance after 6:30 PM as the building is locked at that time.

We use a theme for each meeting, which adds continuity, making it easier for new members to take on meeting roles, and ensures that our meetings are lively and fun.
While we do have a good time, we have high standards and a supportive atmosphere that encourages people to try new things and ensures they will receive honest, encouraging and constructive feedback that will help them to improve.
